In early June colleagues from CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway (EMR) and Network Rail supported a community project at South Wigston to bring new life into a bridge that is prone to graffiti. The hope is that by painting a mural, it will reduce vandalism and brighten up the local area. This area has also been highlighted as a fatality hotspot so the improved environment may reduce this risk by bringing some colour and positivity to the station, its surroundings and the local community.
