Benefits of the Veterans Railcard

You can purchase a Digital Railcard, which you use through the free Railcard app. If you purchase a physical Veterans Railcard, it will be delivered by post.
What will you need?
- Proof of your Veteran Status.
- A completed application form.
- A valid debit or credit card.

How to Use a Veterans Railcard
- When you get your digital or physical Veterans Railcard, you’ll be able to start booking train tickets and the discount of the railcard will be applied. The easiest way for you to book tickets is either online or on CrossCountry app.
- When purchasing your tickets at a station, just following the same steps as above, or ask for a member of staff to help you correctly apply the Veterans Railcard discount correctly.
- When on the train, make sure that you have your Veterans Railcard ready to show alongside your ticket when inspected. Failure to do so could result in a fine. If your railcard is stored digitally on your phone, ensure that your device is fully charged. If not a penalty fare might be issued.
