CrossCountry has launched its 2023/2024 Customer and Communities Investment Fund (CCIF), inviting applications that benefit the communities along its route.

CrossCountry has launched its 2023/2024 Customer and Communities Investment Fund (CCIF), inviting applications that benefit the communities along its route.

The £103k fund is designed to support projects with a tangible social benefit, whether that be outreach schemes helping to open rail travel to more communities or full-scale building refurbishment projects.

Successful bids must demonstrate a link to the railway, address an area of social need or provide a visible community benefit.

If you have an idea no matter how big or small, we want to hear from you. Each proposal will be treated on its own merits and the value it provides to the community.

Tom Joyner, CrossCountry’s Managing Director said:

“The fund is in its second year and is aimed at improving our passengers’ journeys and providing a benefit to the communities we serve. Now more than ever the Customer and Community Investment Fund can play a vital role in rebuilding confidence in our industry and showcase the value of rail.

I would like to encourage local organisations and our customers from across our network to get in touch with their ideas.”

Applications open Monday 11 July 2022 and close Monday 12 September 2022.

Please visit www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk/xc-community-hub/ccif-fund for further information and guidance and to submit your application. All proposals must be submitted by 12th September 2022.
