Network Rail will be carrying out major track improvements on the route between Gloucester and Severn Tunnel Junction. The work will take place from Sunday 27 July – Saturday 16 August.
Timetable summary
Rail replacement road transport will operate between Gloucester, Lydney, Chepstow, Caldicot and Severn Tunnel Junction.
If your journey involves travelling between the Midlands and South Wales you may wish to travel on the route which will involve changing trains at Bristol Parkway.
Road transport
Replacement road transport will depart from the following stations:
Gloucester – front of the station
Lydney – station car park unless otherwise stated on station posters
Chepstow – station entrance
Caldicot - the rail replacement bus stops are the local bus stops on Longfellow Road. Wait at the stop on the station side of the road towards Cardiff and the stop on the opposite side of the road towards Chepstow.
Severn Tunnel Junction - local bus stop at the car park entrance.
